Join the North Toronto Community Band for an exciting evening of music at our Spring Gala Concert 2026! This special performance marks a new chapter for the band as we take the stage under the direction of our new conductor, Tony Nguyen, bringing fresh energy and sound to our ensemble.
We are thrilled to feature guest artist David Malcolm, showcasing his talents as both a vocalist and trumpeter in what promises to be a dynamic and entertaining program.

The North Toronto Community Band is a vibrant group of over 50 dedicated adult musicians who share a passion for making music accessible and enjoyable for all. As a true community band, our repertoire spans everything from film scores and show tunes to big band jazz, classical transcriptions, and original works for concert band.
PLAY WITH US!
Whether you’re looking to dust off your instrument or challenge yourself with new music, we’d love to have you! We’re a non-auditioned community band that welcomes dedicated musicians of all backgrounds. While there’s no formal audition, we do expect players to keep up with the music.
We are looking for the following instruments:
- Oboe/Bassoon
- Clarinet
- Tuba
- String Bass/Bass Guitar
- Auxiliary Percussion
All sections are currently full at this time. However, we still welcome inquiries! Please contact us in case positions become available or circumstances change.
Curious to see if it’s the right fit? Come try us out for 2–3 rehearsals before committing. We rehearse weekly from September to mid-June—join us and make music with a fun, supportive group!
