The North Toronto Community Band is thrilled to welcome you to our annual Holiday Concert, our most festive performance of the year! This season is especially meaningful as we celebrate our first holiday program under the direction of our new conductor Tony Nguyen, whose fresh energy and vision have brought an exciting spark to the ensemble.
We’re also delighted to feature special guest vocalist David Malcolm, whose rich voice and warm presence will bring an unforgettable touch to the night’s program.

The North Toronto Community Band is a vibrant group of about 55 dedicated adult musicians who share a passion for making music accessible and enjoyable for all. As a true community band, our repertoire spans everything from film scores and show tunes to big band jazz, classical transcriptions, and original works for concert band.
PLAY WITH US!
Whether you’re looking to dust off your instrument or challenge yourself with new music, we’d love to have you! We’re a non-auditioned community band that welcomes dedicated musicians of all backgrounds. While there’s no formal audition, we do expect players to keep up with the music.
We are looking for the following instruments:
- Oboe
- Tenor Saxophone
- Tuba/String Bass/Bass Guitar
- Auxiliary Percussion
All other sections are currently full. Thanks for your interest!
Curious to see if it’s the right fit? Come try us out for 2–3 rehearsals before committing. We rehearse weekly from September to mid-June—join us and make music with a fun, supportive group!
